Well, its about time I did a thread on this :)

Got the car in April 2006, and been very busy ever since.

This started out as a new car when I bought it, joined SCN just before, and had a few plans for it like lowering and exhaust. From the factory its a 182hp car, pretty much the same as an FR, without the bumpers and badging.
Over two years later, i'd never thought it would end up like this...

Mod list:
Engine:

APR Stage 3+ Big turbo conversion:
Garret GTX2867 Turbo
APR Manifold + downpipe
APR Intercooler
APR Fuel pump
APR 155Bar rail pressure valve
APR Injectors
Carbonio intake
Plus sundries

Intergrated engineering connecting rods.
APR Hi-flowed head
APR Runner flap delete

4WD Haldex Conversion

Snow performance Stage 2 TFSI Boost cooler - Water methenol injection kit.
BSH stage 2 PCV Catch can.
APR RSC Full non-resonated exhaust
Southbend Stage 3 Clutch with ligtened SMF
Forge shortshifter
VW Racing engine mount set.

Handling:
KW Variant 3 Coilovers
H&R Front and rear ARB's - stiff variety
Whitleline anti lift kit
TTRS 4 pot Brembo Calipers with AP Racing fully floating 362mm rotors with custom bells and brackets.
Pagid RS 4-2 Blue pads
ATE Superblue brake fluid
10mm H&R spacers on the front to clear the calipers

Interior:
Retrofitted the OEM Bluetooth system with a new instrument cluster
Had the MFD3 for a while, but not anymore :)

Exterior:
FR front bumper
Seat Sport BBS 18x7.5 wheels with 225/40/18 R888
Stud conversion

Trackday wheels - Team Dynamaics Pro Race 1.2 - 18x8 ET45 Matt black.
Trackday tyres - Hankook RS2 Z212 235/40/18.

Driving wise, its absolutely mental... Of course there is more turbo lag, and cuts in at 3-4k. After thats it just gets more and more ballistic.

Fuel economy wise, its seems to have gone up greatly. Im off boost most of the time, so its pretty economical! I often average 38mpg on my 25min journey to work.

Here are a few pics:

I've been lucky enough to have a ride or two ;) in Dan's car and it's a proper sleeper.

Looks a nice tidy car not what you might expect to be packing the kind of power it does and the performance is nothing short of amazing.

I think my Cupra now running Stage 2 and fuel pump is rapido, but Dan's is something else. :D

Good write up and a some nice pictures there too  Ace sounding beast and pretty fast enough around the track as it is. Quite suprising as there is absolutely nothing giving away what kind of power it actually has without looking under the bonnet of course.

Cars looks lovely and definately a sleeper when looking at it in the flesh. On the AmD RR day I was driving down the motorway and I see Tris getting a ride from Dan up the other side of the motorway. It was shockingly fast

Glad your happy with the car Dan. As most people mention it is a true wolf in sheeps clothing. Its my kind of car through and through, i'd have one in a heart beat if i could, and i think its convinced Jim to change from the A4 to something a little bit more Stage 3 2.0TFSI-ish
