thermostat

hi can anyone tell me where the thermostat housing is as my dad is just trying to change it and cant find where it is 1998 2.0 gti 16v

I see the housing is held on by 2 bolts and there's a hose on the end but it looks like there would be something in the way if I were to go for removing the two bolts? Is this the only way to get it off? Thanks 1.9 130pd btw. :)

Just looking on eurocarparts and there are 4 thermostats for the 1.4 ibiza, 2 have seals with them and 2 dont... they are all about the same price and all for the APQ engine, cant anyone help me with this? Ive done a search and cant find what im looking for, a part number etc Thanks, Chris

having trouble finding a topic sayin where the thermostat is on my car. if someone could tell me or post a picture showing me where its at and if its easy to change, as my fans dont work as my car get hot hot hot when its standing in traffic and im guessing its the stat
