This is my first post here, I'm from Croatia, and I drive a 2008 Seat Ibiza 6L 1.4TDI 51kw.
This car has never given me any problems that weren't simple enough to fix myself, however two weeks ago the gearbox started making an awful noise that i couldn't find replicated anywhere online because i can't describe it in any other way other than it kinda sounds like a washing machine... Which of course didn't give me any helpful results on google or youtube. The car makes that noise only when in gear and driving (it starts being really loud at around 40km/h and 3rd gear), when i press in the clutch at any point while driving the noise stops completely.
Also when starting from a complete stop i can "feel" the scrape in the gearbox, feels almost like the wheels have a flat spot for a second, and once the car gets going everything is as smooth as ever...
I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered this problem, or something similar, and if anyone can say where to start diagnosing....
