Yours is the standard S model isn't it ad? It's weird because when I renewed with direct line last month they said they wouldn't insure my alloys because they don't come standard on the S, i'm confused :p

Wow, how many cars did you write off to get a quote like that??!
Whereabouts in the midlands are you mate?

This is the 2nd year of having the same car, my previous insurance wanted £4,800 on renewal, so I told them to stuff it.

Mind you I do have the 98bhp engine in it... Haha.

And I live in Retford [B)]

My 'Rear Bumper Spoiler Splitter' as it was advertised poorly in my opinion as it caused much confusion!

Anyway, I thought it'd be much worse than it was so was very pleased with it. I think all I need to get done is the removal of the rear valance then just fit this extra piece of bumper.
Need a respray too so will have to get some quotes for that - my dad is getting some panels of his car resprayed soon so I'll get him to take it in and get a quote.

Would recommend buying it if you want this sort of thing if you get it for a good price.
We picked it up fdr £17.99 and I think P&P was free but might have been about £5.

Apparently the RRP is about £200 but I reckon that's b.s.
If you know what it is supposed to be, let me know!

Anyway, will update when it's on the car.
I'll probably save for an exhaust backbox as well to go with it, so we'll see how it all goes.

Cheers!

Lmao yeah, there's a cover for the right hand hole as I don't have two exhausts and getting a dual exhaust to come out like that looks as if it will be expensive haha.

I want one of those Leon / Ibiza Cupra Oval backboxes as they look sweet!

Yeh they are look quality and assume it would be a streight swap?

just seen your thread in mk4 section well done on the job. but you will still be skint as ever with all the money going on the car ;)

Idk, at the minute my tailpipe curves downwards so I'm not sure how it'll all get fitted but I'm sure whoever does fit it will be able to work some sort of magic.
Others with the same car as mine have probably done it before, can't be too hard... I hope!

Thanks mate lol, yeah I know - the only reason I have a job is to pay for fuel and / or any mods I want.
I'll be on a minimum of £50 a week when I start so will probably put 20-30 quid in depending on how much fuel I want to burn then will save the remainder for modding.

First couple of weeks will probbaly only use £10 for fuel to get to & from school and work which should do, then save £80 for a backbox, then save another £40 the following week for a LCR front splitter.

THEN need to save whatever amount I'm quoted for the respraying of the rear bumper bit, then need to get it all fitted and I'm sorted.

So hopefully it'll all be on the car in about a months time - just when you reckon you'll be fitting your FL bumper too!

EDIT:
Now that I think of it, I'll try to arrange 15 hour weeks which will bag me £60 instead of the minimum 12 hour week which gets me £48. Then saving will be quicker.
And will try and get any covering shifts or overtime.

Just want the mods on the car now!!

Why has no-one told me this?? £20 is right good, everything on ebay is £30+!
You sure?
Will nip down to the local dealers soon then haha.

I know what you mean about the sunstrip mate - didn't expect it to be that colour but as said, it's staying on anyway until I get the front splitter, rear bumper valance thing and exhaust fitted.

Might save for a different sunstrip after that lol.

I'm not sure, it said 2002-2006 models of Mk.4 (or 6L) Ibiza so I assume it's for the pre-FL matey.

Thanks for the comments :)

The rear bumper skirt you have bought is part of the "Aerodynamic" kit designed for the pre-facelift Ibizas. When the Ibiza was facelifted, they bought out a different bodykit, called the "Aero" kit.

There is a front bumper and pair of side skirts available to match the rear skirt you've bought; however I don't know how cheaply they can be picked up these days.

Alright guys.

Went to Hubbards Hills with the girlfriend today for a walk & general chill out, but on the way back stopped off at Cadwell Park to see what it's like.

Contemplating a track day for my birthday, and if it's all good then will try to organise a meet that involves a track day, if people would be up for it.

Anyway, took a couple of pics from outside the track then had my first attempt at a 180 degree powerslide on the grass, which was a right laugh.

ALSO

Tax disc holder arrived whilst I was out, so got it straight on the car. Really pleased with it.
Picsss:

Sorry it's so dirty. Been meaning to clean it but just haven't gotten around to it. She deserves a wash so will probably get my arse in gear tomorrow.

Cheers guys!
