Checking cam timing on 2001 cupra? (VVT) Bling / Chrome
The reason I ask is because I have just fitted a replacment (recon) ko3s turbo charger to my leon and although it goes slightly better it's still not like it was...I was so sure I wacked it on the rollers and it came out well down on power...think it was 115bhp atw. The turbo is definatly a ko3s!
Anyway...started looking into basic things and noticed the inlet cam is one tooth out, could this be due to a knackered VVT unit or is this correct when the engine is at rest?
VVT unit is £285 inc vat from stealer but we have found a replacment at GSF (i think) for £180 + vat
