Clunking front end when low speed turning

Hi all,

My R has developed a clunking/popping noise from the front end whenever I've making low speed movements, for example parking the car.

Never hear the noise when driving at more than a couple of MPH, get no noise over bumps and no constant knocking on full lock turns, no power steering leaks under car and level is perfect.

Front suspension feels right and handles well, only thing I've noticed is the steering feels pretty heavy?

Any pointers on where else I can look?

hey buddy, my guess would be CV joint or maybe top mount bearings/bushes

Sounds like a good shout that.

I've ordered 2 new CV joints as I thought I'd just do both of them. See how I get on!

So just to update this...

I bought new drop links, CV joints and top mounts. I've only got round to changing the drop links and this has stopped the clunking. I still have a little creaking which I think is the top mounts. My drop link boots were split but the ball joints seemed to move ok.
