Clunking noise from brake pedal when stepping off, anybody?

Hi, as thread title says it all, when I quickly take my foot off the brake pedal, some clunking (not sure that's the right word) sound comes from the pedal assembly, like there's something loose down there. If I slowly & gently step off, noise is non-existent or very minimal. Considering taking the car to dealer to have a look but they're mostly more interested in standard jobs. I wonder if there's anybody with similar experience.

There will be a plunger switch that contacts that pedal, so it might just be that, otherwise, I'd take it to be checked over if you think that it is something else.

Thanks for the response, I'm going to have a look but not sure if I can figure out the issue by myself.
Anyway, thanks again & cheers.

Have you recently changed the brake pads for high performance versions and not put any pad grease (Ceratec) on the back?
