Hi,
My car broke down today
Clutch wasn't returning up all the way sometimes and then at the end of my journey it stuck all the way to the floor, couldn't move the gear stick, had to push it into a parking space.
Had breakdown come out tonight who told me it was the clutch slave cylinder that was gone (although he has just checked the fluid under the hood and moved the pedal a bit).
He mentioned that the slave cylinder may be located in the transmission so the entire gearbox would need to come up and I may as well replace the entire clutch.
He did say it MIGHT be external though.
Please can anyone tell me if they know?
It's a SEAT LEON 1.6 Diesel SE COPA TDI
Looking at calling some garages up tomorrow for a quote but it would be good to know ahead of time so I don't get ripped off with a whole new clutch if I don't need it.
Thanks.
