Completely locked out…Leon Mk2

Hi, here’s a puzzle I’m hoping someone can help me solve:
-All the doors are locked.
-The battery is disconnected (it’s a long story). -The key doesn’t open the driver’s door (it hasn’t worked for some time).
-Both front doors do not open from the inside (engaging the levers with a piece of wire & string squeezed between the body & window has been unsuccessful).
How do I get the bonnet open to reconnect the battery?

Locks are fairly easy to pick for an auto locksmith, other than that you'd probably have to start dismantling the front of the car to try and manually open the bonnet catch
