correctly measuring PCD???

IF I want to confirm if alloys are 4x100

yes 4= no of studs

To calculate the 100m spacings between studs I am assuming that you measure from the centre of one hole across the middle of the wheel to the opposite hole centre. I've done this measurement and it reads 100mm exactly.

Am I right?

Yes, thats how you measure the PCD. mk3 ibiza's PCD is 4x100..

On the subject of spiggot rings, is there a name for the ring that goes into a wheel hub centrebore to extend the hub outwards.

They are like a ring with a rebate round the outside. The rebate fits into the centre of the hub.
