Did this today, not an update of any importance but, what the hell.

Got finished at work early today and decided to make the most of the time and give the FR a long overdue wash and protection.

Started off with this.

I then sprayed the car with VP Citrus pre wash using a garden sprayer and left it to dwell for a few mins while I got the pressure washer ready. Once the citrus had done its thing I rinsed the car with the PW. After that was to give it a coating of VP snow foam with the Gilmour. Again I rinsed with the PW, then washed using 2BM & AG shampoo, wheels were sprayed with Billberry.

Then the rain came

After a brief break of about 30 mins the rain stopped and the car was dried using a Poorboys waffle weave towel to leave this...

I then only had time to machine polish the bonnet which was fine as it had some buffer trails and marring on it from a previous attempt that got cut short. Anyway I hit it with some Poorboys black hole and a white hex-logic pad on the Porter Cable.

Much better :D

I then only had about an hour and a half before I was due to go to a kettlebell session, so I gave the whole car a coating of PB black hole and a nice layer of Nattys paste wax (pink), dressed the tyres with Megs endurance gel, polished the exhaust tips with AG metal polish, cleaned all the glass, dressed the black trim and finally gave the engine bay and fuel cap a clean with AG engine & machine cleaner.

Afters...

Yeah they are a nightmare to keep clean and they show scratches no matter how light.

Plate is from here http://www.fancyplates.com not legal but looks nice. I carry the original in the boot just in case I ever get pulled.

The smoked side repeaters came in the post today. Just popped them in and they don't seem to sit right. It's like they're too far over to one side slightly. Are yours like this?

I don't think they are to one side, will have a look in a bit for you.

I use either Autosol or Auto Glym metal polish and some good old elbow grease. I apply it by hand, leave it to haze for 30 secs then go crazy with a microfibre cloth haha

Car looks great Dan, what do you use on your scuttle? I have been using G technique T1, but it's slightly more glossy.

Cheers

Thanks mate, I just used some cheapo stuff from astonish. Didn't last too long if honest, but I did want to try some Gtechniq trim restorer as heard great reviews about it.
