If you don't do a lot of miles then consider the 1.8 TSi DSG

I had the same hard decision to make.

I went for the 150 TDI with the paddle shift (Had to have a diesel, I do at least 15,000 miles a year and I am sick of the amount of fuel my Fiesta St guzzles) and I chose the 150 over the 184 as its the DSG plus I can have it on my drive 6 months earlier than I could have a 184.

Hope you manage to make a decision soon mate.

EDIT: Also, if you are open to modding it doesn't seem like it would take much at all to get the 150 TDI running at 200BHP+

Thought the exact same thing, must only be a turbo and stock map thats the difference between the two. Sooner have the DSG on a 150, then get power upgrades.

Exactly. I get the feeling your mind is already made up ;-)

BMW still say at 20k/year or less their petrol's will cost you less overall, I do between 10-15k/year and TBH I'd go back to petrol now..

I take it they factor in original purchase cost though which I dont have as mine is a company car so there is no difference in cost on the car end, only fuel. I understand this is for me though, not the same case for everyone.
