Front left knocking

Basically I am getting a knocking from what I believe to be the front left over rough bits of road, i've personally had the wheel off and checked everything its then been to my local garage who I trust who can't find anything and since been back for its MOT where I asked them to look again and they found nothing and it passed the test fine. All the obvious things have been checked arb droplinks, wishbone bushes top mount all of which are tight. Recently I've noticed though on right hand corners if there is a drain or a bump that the left wheel hits it will deflect quite violently and debalance the whole car which is not safe so I want this sorted, I've thought it could maybe be the damper with this happening but it seems perfectly fine doing the bounce test on the wing and visually its fine too. Has anyone any idea?

The joints and stuff have been checked they all seem pretty tight could someone check the picture I uploaded above I have a feeling the gap is abit big for the top mounts.

Thats how they sit so seems normal.. You could whip the top nut off the shock and double check that the lower nut properly tightened while car is on the ground if your worried.

Ah right ok the spring won't fire out if there's weight on it then? And also is there a way to check for play in the lower ball joint or is it a case of simply replacing it if its suspect?
