Instrument cluster

Hallo all and happy 2009

I would like to know if I can remove the instrument cluster from my dash.I have tried but the yellow wiring plugs where a dog to try remove,how does one do that?
Help will be very much appreciated.

If you think its a pain in the bum to get out, you wait till you try getting it back in. I know it sounds like a real hassle but, you might find it easier in the long run to removed the steering wheel. Why are you taking it out ?

It's not too bad if you adjust the wheel so it's fully extended and dropped.

But as you say it can be difficult in getting them back in.

You then have to get the instrument cluster re-coded at Seat :(

Hi Smivvy,
Why do you need to get it re-coded? i have had mine out a few times and all i have had to do is switch the air bag light of with vag-com.

Hey, yes I should have made it a little clearer. It will only need recoding if you change the instrument cluster.

You can take out and put back the original as many times as you wish.
