I drive a 401hp/555nm Cupra ST... It is more as fast enough. You have to be gentle on the power when it's wet :D

A friend had got a 500hp Cupra... This thing is insane! 100km/h-200km/h it does it around 6 seconds!

Please do link any of those cupras. Should be interesting to see what kind of mods they were running to be able to achieve 400bhp.

You really seem like a nice person.

Mine runs 382 hp and 465 nm with a Revo map - up from 29# and 360 nm with the standard map.

I live in Denmark and have considered to change to the new 4wd instead but having had a 4wd rental (Quattro) rental car for this weekend I am not any more. Yes it gets you of the line fast and feels safe but all the fun and nimbleness of the 2wd Capra is light years away.

Regarding speed - remember the Cupra is light..I humiliated the new model Panamera GTS on the autobahn with the car completely packed up going on skiing holiday. Not that far of a 450 bhp BMW 1 series I would assume.

Www that sounds amazing.
Could you list what mods your car and your friends has to achieve those numbers?

Hum okey so the 4wd is much less nimble..
Worse thing is that it is hard to get a hold of a 2wd to test drive nowadays..
Actually regarding weight a cupra st 4wd weighs about 100kg more than my m135..

I have a stage 2:

VWR600 intake
Milltek downpipe without cat
Milltek non resonated catback
DVX Engine software stage 2
DVX DSG software

This is my dyno:

He has a stage 3 500hp setup, the specs are in the first picture.

Another friend has a stage 3 ST with a TTE470 turbo, CTS intercooler, CTS intake, Custom made downpipe and catback, DVX software on engine and DSG. He has 431hp/561nm, but the results are limited on his request. Normally this would make around 470hp/580nm. You can see the results on this link:

Please dont forget that the 2wd cupra weighs a lot less then your M135i (1366kg vs 1515kg both 2wd and automatic gearboxes) and the 4wd is around 1470kg... So still lighter then your M135i?

Strange regarding the weights.
My m135 weighs 1530, a Leon st 300 4wd seems to weigh 1640.
If your numbers are correct that would be amazinf

Here you can see that the st cupra 4wd weighs 1470kg.
It's not possible that the Cupra weighs 1640kg, that's way to much...

When my 280 was standard, i tested it against a 326hp M135i, rolling start offcourse...
He lost every time because of the extra weight.

Yes but in my weights are fuel and driver included.
Still the m135 2wd at weighs in at 1535 and Leon cupra at 4wd with some equipment 1640

My Cupra 290 is pushing around 400bhp - my mods are in my signature. The only problem is that sometimes it struggles to put the power down and I get traction control kicking in, or it just spins the wheels if traction control is off. It's better from a rolling start, but I'll certainly be looking into uprated engine mounts all round to try and get that power to the road without shredding my new tyres :)

I go to stage 2 with a DSG map in October and then have a new custom exhaust going on in November - it should be over 400bhp by the time they are done. And then I'll be getting a new intercooler.

If I wanted to go to stage 3 with VWR OEM+, I'll need a hybrid turbo and can expect 480-500bhp (as I've been told).
