I been so busy i totally forgot about updating this... Sorry

It all got a bit carried away so now stands as......

Building my spare bottom end as a custom 2l
Been working closely with someone and have also come up with what we think is the ultimate PD build and as such have some very nice treats on the way.
Tubular equal length manifold
Custom BigBore injectors. will be the biggest pos
Hybrid GTB turbo
Direct port water methanol injection.
Custom cam
and some very tasty oil way modifications to prevent cam failure

Its all taken so long i had to by myself a little run around as i can't use the ibiza (no engine) and can't use the poor MK1 golf (don't fancy using my track car as a daily) i bought myself a LCR

What parts are you uprating internally?

Also looking at going the hybrid GTB route, and want to make the most of it. I've sourced rods, but have you done anything else?

I'm using it as a chance to do a bit of development and if all well i will start going into production.
Will be a off the shelf 2L bottom end fully uprated ready for power.

Rods are a must and have also been sourcing uprated bearings, bolts and pistons.

The pistons started life as a BMM for the advanced oil ways and shape. now working on getting them custom made a little stronger, coated and to a slightly lower CR


how is yours coming along?
mines been off the road so long I'm relay starting to miss he torque lol

Finally managed to get a manifold, and got my single pass cooler setup sorted. The gap between the headlight and chassis was tight to say the least for getting the pipe back into the bay. Seems to work nicely though. Delivery seems smoother than before, and its controlling intake temps nicely. Got a nice custom 3" TIP that narrows down just before it connects to the turbo as standard wouldnt work with a single pass setup, as im sure you know yourself. It makes the standard one look so restrictive!
Biggest issue I have at the moment, is finding someone I trust to do my headwork. Aiming to be at 300+ by August sort of time, all being well.
Who is it you've been working with if you dont mind me asking?
