 didn't notice that! Heard quite a lot about them, but too far from me I think.

Mine was due a service aswell when I bought it, so had that done while it was in for the springs etc.

Cam follower on the way from Dave @ Sere, so when it goes in for that, I'll also have the brake fluid done, then everything is up to date.

Has yours done many miles, because the plugs are due at 60k aren't they? Mines only done 24k, but intend having them changed before spring and the remap.

As I intend having the oil changed every 3 months, that will also tie in.

She has just turned 42k mate also got the cambelt and water pump done same time as service.
Then stuck new F1 asy 2's on all corners.

Looks great on the sportlines, need to get mine lowered. And maybe some 19s now I've seen yours :D

Cheers mate, my wheels may be getting changed this week if I can find someone with the ones I want in stock so I can have a decent look at them in the flesh.

Was gonna just get the standard ones refinished in a different colour, but the cost isn't that far off a new set, so figured I may aswell change them!

What wheels are you going for? Still 19's I presume

Yes mate will still be 19's.Narrowed it down to about 3 or 4 tbh.

Two seats are black, two are matt gunmetal.

I'm not necessarily a fan of black wheels because I always think the design is lost at quick glance or in pictures, but having said that, I initially did want to keep everything on the car black or yellow.

Where as the matt gunmetal ones may not fit in with the image I had in mind.

So as said, I'm gonna try and find somewhere that has at least a couple of the options in stock, and make the journey!

I also really would like to find something a bit lighter than standard for the obvious benefits, without spending a fortune, but you'd be surprised how little anyone seems to know about the specifics when you ring them.

If you look at my RR I've uploaded images of my wheels after a refurb and the colour is like a dark anthracite. They would look sweet on yours mate.

Have seen them bud, my preference is grey, but I want something that is dark enough to look almost black, but light enough so you can instantly tell what the wheels look like if that makes sense.

Yours do look good, and do like the engine cover!

Lol, have you bought something else then Matt?

I have seen some now that I think will suit mine as per my previous comments, so will see how I get on this week, but if you want to let me know a ballpark figure, although typically, i did order a full set of new tyres in preparation on Saturday!

So, some minor updates.

Ordered and fitted some Heko Wind Deflectors.

Ordered some new tailored custom mats (due Wednesday).

Ordered a tailored rubber boot liner (arrived today but won't be fitted yet).

The mats and boot liner are not being fitted yet because the interior is going to get professionally valeted, the leather cleaned and treated etc first, hopefully the end of the week.

The more major updates,

Full new set of tyres ordered on Saturday and due Tuesday/Wednesday.

Not so shiny, but new wheels ordered today! (due Tuesday/Wednesday)

The wheels are not so shiny because after a lot of deliberation I've decided to go with the wheel style I wanted but they only come in a Matt Graphite finish, so hoping thats not a mistake.

So, week 3 of ownership should be quite a big transformation.

Sounds good mate your not wasting any time, when is she getting mapped think mine will be first week in March if I can hold out that long! :p

Ha, 40 in a couple of months, not got time to waste!

Mmmm, the remap, I keep telling myself it doesn't need it, which it really doesn't, but need and want are two different things.

If (when) I get it remapped I probably won't be winning any "scene points" though, as I'm really tempted to go with the Superchips Bluefin, as it really will only ever be Stage 1, and their claims are pretty much in line with Revo etc but £350 all in.

Ran our other car on one since it was brand new, and that's now done 20,000 pretty hard miles with absolutely no issues.

I was going to fit my wind deflectors yesterday but couldn't get the clip to hold the rear one in, right. How and where did you put the clip on the rears? Pictures would be great if you can.

I think I know what wheels you've gone for. Are they same as you're last cupra?

I had the same problem Lee, I think it's due to the design/thickness of the rubber??

On the rear ones, I used 2 clips on each because I had some spares. Both clips are put in the window channels where the window goes up and down.

On the fronts, I used 1 in the channel behind where the mirror folds up, but the other wouldn't go in on the other end on the upright, so mine is in the top channel, about half an inch along from the end.

Unfortunately mate, the current version of the Superleggera's I had on my Mk1 are now about £1800 without tyres in 19" which is ridiculous, so after some research I found that BBS CK's weighed 12.1kg in 19" and were still nearly a grand a set and not in a finish I wanted so would've had to be refinished straight away costing another £300, so in the end, found some that weigh 11.7kg, in a finish I'm happy with (hopefully) for half that!

Nice one, I only got 1 clip per deflector. I have them on my octavia and they don't even needs clips. The rears seem a really lose fit. I didn't even bother with the fronts as I didn't want just fronts on, I wanted the full set. How was the fit of the fronts? Would I get away without clips.

I've been looking at 18" wheels and they are a lot cheaper than 19's. Very interested in what you have ordered. Can't wait to see them.
