After havening the squeaking wing mirror problem for a long time and i may have found the problem. I noticed that the squeaking was worse after i had knocked the mirror while going though a tight space :help:

Any way i pushed it back and didn't think anything of it, once i got home i pushed the mirror back to the car and back out this time i herd a click like a holding pin had reengaged and now no more squeaking.

Just a hint to try if anyone has a problem

do you have the auto folding mirrors? cos Mine have started making a bit of a squeeking/clicking noise on the passenger side when folding in and out . .

but you said you pushed the mirror back so I presum you mean manual ones.

LOL i have auto mirrors or how will they squeak. Even auto allow them to fold without the motor so they don't break off

hmmmm lol good point!! I just didn't realise that you can fold them in yourself!

anyways, I'll try it tonight and hopefully all will be cured!!

(they seemed to cure themselves about a week ago but only for one day then they went back to squeeking . . strange)

mine used 2 do this after some kid ran smack into the side of my car, she knocked it off so it was hanging - Seat fixed it 1st time but it squeeked loads. Took it back after trying some fixes myself (and failing) and they've sorted it now. The plastic mount its on isn't as flush as it could be and caused the mirror to make a rub/grindy noise when they folded in. They also put the door back on too tight and buggered the window seals and door hinge which they've just re-done!
