Meguiar's clay bar

hi i dont know if im in the correct place to ask this but... is the Meguiar's clay bar bad for the paint work??? does it strip off the protective layer off there car??? does it take off the laquar in any way???

As long as you use some sort of lubricant it won't damage anything. it will take any protection you've built up such as wax or sealant but not actual laquer lol. It's good for removing contaminants such as tar etc. If you run your hand over the surface of your car you will probably feel little bits, after you've clayed it it feels smooth!

Depending on how harsh the clay is you might find it leaves a little micromarring on the paint. Would then need a polish afterwards.

But I think the megs clay is quite gentle.

Seeing as it strips wax off anyway you may as well polish and then wax/seal.

the thing is ive used it and it is BRILLAINT best thing ive ever used and normally uise auto glym high resin polish but much prefer the wax and the reslts are far more better, and ALOT SMOOTHER, but i think i my use some sort of high gloss wax after the clay bar, good idea??????
