Hello again everybody,

Here are a few photos of my new ride and some info about my immediate plans.

I've found this car on a website, immediately decided to have it, contacted the owner, agreed on price, gathered money, all in a few days.
Then I've flown to Antalya, collected it and driven back to Istanbul, via a northbound 700 kilometers of pretty nice highways on a very sunny, bright day with my sunroof open, enjoying the beautiful spring scenery along the road, accompanied by new Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen albums and some other good road music on Spotify, connected via Android Auto. It was really one of my best trips ever. 😇

The car was ordered by the original owner (I'm second) as a special order with the extra options of DCC, Seat Sound, 18" Performance 30/2 Machined alloy wheels, Full Link, Chrome trim under the side windows and Digital Instrument Cluster. He had waited for three months for it to be built in Martorell and shipped to Izmir, Turkey. As far as I know, the FR trim can be different depending on the market. It has panoramic sunroof, full LED lights, dual zone climate control and a lot of other stuff as standard in Turkish-market specs.

I was looking for a petrol/manual drivetrain combination and it had to be loaded with kit, so this car is as if it was ordered exactly for me. DCC was another optional feature I was looking for, not especially for the suspension adjustability, but for the progressive steering. A Leon with this option is very hard to find in our market so I can say my exact dream has come true.

As for my immediate plans, I ordered some original accessories from the local SEAT dealer which luckily happens to be located in my neighborhood, just a few streets away. My order includes a sports pedal kit, a footrest (they should have been standard on a trim like FR), red stitched carpet mats with FR labels and the tiredness recognition system activation code. They didn't have any of those in stock, so I have to wait a couple weeks, I guess.

Anyway, I have a lot of retrofit plans for the near future but that's all for now.
Nice to be here and meet you all.

Cheers,
Serdar

Looks pretty loaded, you have Seat Sound and heated seats too.

Oh, yes. I forgot to add that. It has optional Winter Pack, which includes heated seats and headlight washers.
Seat heating was one of the features I was looking for specifically.

I spent 3 months trying to find a Desire Red Leon FR in the UK. Finally bought a 2018 metallic dark grey.
In the UK the footrest is standard in the FR.

I always preferred bright colors like red or blue and never loved black, grey and white cars.
But I wouldn't hesitate to buy this spec in any color I could find.

Very nice, love wheels with that colour. And I didn't know chrome under the windows was even an option (it wasn't on our Ibiza, ordered in Spain).
Personally, I wouldn't invest in the "tiredness recognition system" - it never knows when I'm actually exhausted but goes off if I just lean back with one hand on the wheel on the motorway (hope you got Adaptive Cruise Control!).

Thank you very much 🙏

Unfortunately, original owner had preferred not to spend any money on driver assistance systems
so it doesn't have front radar or camera installed in the factory, no ACC, no FrontAssist, no LaneAssist.

I will consider retrofitting some of those systems when I have the financial means.
For now, I'm making do with some toys from the accessory list which can be had easily and relatively cheaply.
Tiredness recognition is one of them, it will give me a nice feeling of having a new feature even if I don't use it much :)

Cheers,
Serdar
