Something wrong if you're only getting that with driving steady, even round town I can get 28

my lady says she drives it steady and have logged it on vag com a number of time and all looks spot on maybe shes lying and drives it like a tool lol, she has decided she likes the look of the mk4 ibiza cupra diesel so will see, should get good mpg then :D

My MPG is about the same as yours around town harty. Ive put it down to the fact that my longest journey is getting to work and thats only 5 miles!! Constant stopping and starting is no good!

The economy is purely down to how you drive the car.
I can get better economy out of my LCR than my 140BHP A4 TDI.

I can get 42.5MPG out of the LCR

Hope these work mate

Harty, your thread is starting to cost me to much money,:lol::lol:

Your FMIC looks sweet, did you have much bother installing it?.I am reading Nev_LCR guide http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=206261&highlight="custom+fmic" but i am not to fond of cutting my battery case and grinding the front of the car, did you have to do any of this or was it just a straight fit?

To be honest mate it was really straight forward and from start to finish was about 4 1/2 hours if you use the same cooler size i did all will fit nice, i decided not to use the forge map pipe and kept the standard 1 on as there was alot of bother cutting things, the only thing needed cutting was a piece of metal by the inlet and outlet of the cooler that was it, all you will need is a extra 60mm coupler as the standard map pipe is 60mm and push the 63mm alloy pipe into that for a nice tight fit it will go with abit of lube

That’s good to know mate thanks, I was under the impression you needed the map pipe, but if you don’t, then great, I can always retro fit it.
I got quote today for a forge FMIC in Ireland and they wanted €678 for it, that’s with a discount which is ridiculous IMO, that’s way to much money, I know people bang on about after sales support and R&D but come on, this is all tried and tested technology. I have the below shopping list made up which should see me thru!

1. FMIC

2. 45 degree silicon 63 to 57mm long reducers x 2

3. 63mm alloy pipes 90 degree elbow X 4

4. Silicone coupler X 5

5. Joist strap of some kind X 2
6. Washers and bolts 8mm

I will use the forge guide for removing the bumper etc..

Think the real saving is noticable when you add in the upper silicone hosse which I believe are a must. We are talking another £100+ on top of that ridiculous forge kit price :wtf: No thanks I'd rather add that to say a custom £300 kit :p

That cooler has smaller inlet and outlet than your pipework, not that it matters but you can buy with 2.5" :)
