they have all vw markings on each wheel

it was a woman who i got them from who got a mk3 golf with them on and it failed mot so she was selling scrapping the car so she sold the wheels on ebay lol so i was like touch especially with the centre caps all be it missing one but they are all genuine with all the markings etc lol

new wheels :)

after loads of agg and rain finally got my wheels fitted today

i ended up with one wheel bolt snapping in the rear drum and it wasnt even done up tight so had to drill a hole and hammer a screw driver into it to twist it back out

then had issues with the wheel bolts going in to far and catching on the rear brakes so ive ordered some 5mm spacers into my local motorparts place and collecting them tomo so i wont have the issue anymore.

anyways here are the pics before ive lowered the front down LOW as i can go with these wheels

not sure if to keep the centre caps silver or to do them black with just the main hex silver or a diff colour

what everyone think????

Been there, done that, I found a torx bit good for hammering in and getting the broken bit out.

Nice wheels, use photoshop to see how it'd look with the cntres black.:)

yet again another problem with the hunk of junk i purchased exhaust is f****d so yet again more money on it

Whats up with the exhaust man?

See those stubby mirrors, they any good? I've been toying with the idea of getting other vw oem mirrors on, seems difficult though, so might go for the stubby ones?

Nice wheel set up btw man... still not sure bout the bodykit thing, but each to their own :D love it

snapped off got a new standard one to go on as i didnt like the one on it anyways going to see if i can get it welded up and if so sell it as cant get manyfor the arosa

on the mirrors they are good i just cant see anything in the passenger one as my roll cage bar is in the way and never drove with the standard ones so cant really say if they are much different

wheels are all good but not sure on the car now as i have spent like £1000 on fixing things i have just lost interest in it to do anything good to it and get it to where i want it to be

therefore it may be up for sale soon as im looking into getting a old volvo 340 bit of rear wheel drive for bit of skidding is calling my name after driving a mates one at works lol

Cars are always the same once you start moddin them and drivin them a bit harder, they're noy really designed for it so tend to need more parts thrown at them. As for rear wheel drive, get a Mr2, totally excellent fun if you want rear drive action.:)

ive not been able to drive it i got it and drove it for 3 weeks with afunny noise then gearbox went so it was off the road for a month while i had to find a new box then fixed it drove it for 3 weeks fine so fort i would get some smaller wheels as others were rubbing bad and now exhaust gone i just cba to keep paying out for it as ive lost interest in it now i wasnt expecting to pay 1000 fixing the bloody thing so hard only working part time being a student to pay for it all

and as for mr2 i would love to if i wasnt 20 driving for 1 year and no no claims lol i already pay just under £2400 tpft to insure this

Raise the car up a little bit and you wont get quite so many issues lol, I know it's not as cool but it is less hassle, the wheels wont rub and the exhaust wont get smacked.:D If you've put that much into it already you'd be aswell finishing it and getting some use out of it otherwise you'd be aswell giving the money away.:)

the car is down like 1/4 on the front and the back is down without adjusters but doesnt rub and that
the wheels on it before were 17" so rubbed on inner arches when turning so i put 15s on

also i didnt catch the exhaust it was just so rusted it blew a hole in and and it just got bigger and bigger and i didnt know as its really loud with the exhaust so cant tell the difference now i have none lol

i dont really wanna get rid its just i physically cant afford to put another penny into fixing the next thing that goes wrong let alone doing anything to make it how i want it to

Not so bad then, can't be that much for an exhaust for that thing. How are you going to get enough money for another car? If you sell that one you'll get less than you've spent then you'll have to spend a packet on the next one because it will break, trust me, I've learnt this from years of experience. I've got a list for my car but lack the funds just now but I'm just going to stick with it and persevere.
Sell it if you want but I think you'll regret it, I know a guy got an audi A4 tdi but he thinking the grass was greener on the other side and now he's left with a piece of junk 1.1 rust bucket fiesta.:)

well down to me putting a brand new gearbox on the car and loads of other new parts and only drove 200 miles since i will be asking for more than i paid back in may

and ideally i would wanna swap my car than sell unless someone offered me the correct amount

i will miss the car i was tempted to just take it off the road and drive my old saxo but i had to sell that to pay for bills so i only have this car now and can have a car that goes wrong when i have to drive to uni everyday from the end of september (85 miles a day)

ive been offered a mk3 polo coupe 1.0 with a 1.3gt engine in it as a straight swap and also a 52 plate clio so if i do decide to sell or swap it wont be hard round my area the car gets so much attention should go pretty quick.
