Ordered a New Cupra today !!!

Hi all,

I've been reading posts on this site for a few months and now I've finally decided to register and post myself.

I went to one of my local Seat dealers today to test drive their new Cupra which was only delivered to them this morning. I was the 1st person to drive it (even before the guys who worked there) and I liked it so much I ordered one straight away.

The colour of their demonstrator was Kiwi Green with black alloys and I was expecting it to look awful but it did actually look really nice and it made an awful lot of peoples head turn when I drove past. The colour really grew on me and I thought it was a nicer colour than the new Speed Blue FR they had delivered at the same time.

The noise the engine makes when you floor it is fantastic and compared to my current car the acceleration is on another planet. Im trading in my 07 plate 1.6 Reference and have ordered a Candy White with black alloys, spoiler and side skirts. I was debating whether or not to get the full Aero kit but I decided against it because I did like to FL Cupra's front grill (I didn't like the pre FL cupra grill)

I wasn't brave enough to go for the Kiwi, although a small twisted part of me wished I had now as it will stand out from most cars out there. I don't have a delivery date yet but it will be around early June (that is ages away!!!)

Funny story aside was that the salesman told me that he had a 70 year old lady order a Cupra R this morning and she wasn't happy that she had to wait until August to get it. I'd love to see a granny driving one of those lol

My worry with the Kiwi Green would be that while you may like it, when you come to sell the car you'll be appealing to only a small group of people!

should have ordered the kiwi!

Orange ST's hold their value, as will green RS's.

If I had gone for the Kiwi I could have been delivered within the week as I could have just taken that one so that would have been a bonus, rather having to wait until June-ish for mine. My main worry was re-sale, I think it would be easier to sell a white one rather than kiwi. Plus it was an extra £500 for the custom paint and I didn't like it that much !!

With the bodykit and black alloys it was 22k however Seat where doing a loyalty scheme where if you had bought from them before you got another 1k off so base price it was 21k.

Then I got 7k for my trade in and to be honest it was only worth 6.5k in Parkers guide so i was expecting to be offered less than that. I've got my 1st service free and mats free (whooppee).

If I had shopped around I probably could have got it cheaper but I'm too lazy to bother :)

Interesting... was told December for Cupra R?

All I know is that this woman ordered the R on the Friday morning and the salesman was told on the afternoon by SEAT that it would be an August delivery although they had no firm date. I suppose that date could easily change.

I've been told June for my Cupra but again I have no confirmed date yet.
