Hi I have a 2004 seat ibiza 1.4 petrol. My car has started overheating sometimes but only when doing over 2 1/2 thousand revs. But when u go below 2 thousand revs the temp goes back down. I have changed the water pump but it is still doing it any advice thank you

I had the thermostat changed and water pump, don't suppose u have a rough idea what pipe it could be long shot I no I'm also thinking could it be the radiator fan switch as the fan doesn't kick in all the time to cool engine down if that makes sense thanks

Coolant operating temperature is around 90 to 95C. It's under pressure so the boiling point is higher than 100C

The radiator fan should kick in around that temperature a little below 100C

Debris in the cooling system will block the radiator and heater matrix 1st, not necessarily entirely, just enough to make it ineffective. You can get chemicals to flush the cooling system and this is cheaper than replacing anything.

Lots of things can cause overheating, lean running, head gasket problems, air locks and some others. it's difficult to diagnose remotely.
