I have temporay fix for a squeeking rattling nightmare panoramic sunroof. Open it full then clean all the edges and mating seal surfaces with soapy water. Using a cloth apply silicone oil to all the cleaned surfaces. Silicone oil unlike mineral oil doesn't cause swelling and deterioration of plastics and rubber. The squeaks and rattles will however return in time.

I believe this things were a £1000 option. I would pay at least that not to have one !

Cheers for your help, I've got some gummi phledge and will give the seals a good going over with that also bought some silicone grease to lube up the tracks etc to see if that sorts it🤞
When I bought the car recently I was well pleased it had a pan roof, now however I'd rather not have one....never again!!!

I ordered some Liqui Moly silicon fett, I'll see if that works if not I'll give the Dow Corning a go.
It's hard to believe that dry seals would cause such a loud creak.
The mechanism looks like it hasn't been greased probably since new so I will clean all the old stuff out and re grease the tracks and mechanism and silicone grease the seals, I really hope this sorts it, bloody noise drives me nuts!!

Update,
Thank you Big Vinny, it appears that copious amounts of silicone grease solves the creaking pan roof problem and makes driving pleasurable once more!!
Thanks again👍

Guys, as @toshvmax said,

forget the silicone for the rubbers, this is just part of the problem!
I tried solving the creaking this way for months and years on end, but they returned sooner and sooner with time.

The MAIN CAUSE is the GREASE of the GUIDE RAILS for the roof! The rubbers are there to provide the necessary sealing, but also the play in your roof when the body flexes. If the rails are not properly greased, they will prevent said play, resulting in creaks when the body flexes.

Proceed as follows: open sunroof completely --> clean the (reachable and largest part of the) guide rails and tiliting mechanism with a rag and some isopropyl alcohol or something, and re-grease with a fine pencil for example, using white PTFE grease --> open and close the roof a few times to distribute the newly applied grease --> problem solved for the next few years!

Hi,
I did that as well to be fair, the rails looked very dry, I used some good quality grease on them, I was out for a drive earlier and there was still a very slight creak on the drivers side of the pan roof, so after reading your reply I opened and closed it a few time to really distribute the grease, it does seem to have got rid of that final creak!! Thank you for your response👍
