Has Anyone played with the Recode options in VAGCOM for a V5 Toledo?
I have read through the 'vagcom' section and 'how to guides' but most seem
to be questions about fault codes and no clear instructions how to carry it out recodes.

I've seen it can do things like:-

Auto lock at 12MPH
Auto unlock when key is removed
Beep when unlock
Beep when lock
Seatbelt Indicator
One button unlock all doors
German style alarm horn
12 Hour clock

Would be interested to know if anyone has done this and what works/doesn't work?

I know nearly all those work on my leon mate, apart from the clock one, german style horn and seatbelt indicator as iv never seen or tried these before.

Yeah mines does too so it would probably be:-

Auto unlock when key is removed
Beep when unlock
Beep when lock

Thanks, OK so the bit I would be interested in doing is:-

[Select]
[46 - Cent. Conv.] (35 - Cent. Locking for manual window cars)
[Adaptation - 10]
Channel (03..08)
Adaptation Value (1 = on, 0 = off)
[Save]

Channel 03 Auto Lock
Channel 04 Auto Unlock
Channel 05 Unlock, horn sounds
Channel 06 Lock, horn sounds
Channel 07 Unlock, turn signals flash
Channel 08 Lock, turn signals flash

Mabye the TBA also.

I got as far as the 46 - Cent. Conv option and then bottled it
Is it really straightforward once you go into the Adaption screen.
Any help or explanation would be appreciated.

Yeah just make a note of the codes before you change them, then if any problems you can change back, but you'll be fine.
I was bricking it first time i did it, match an ECU the other week in about 10 seconds the walk-throughs are that simple.
