Thanks to Seat for devaluing second hand LCR's I've had to make the decision to can Project Cordy

As much as I want to build the car, I just can't afford it without selling the R, and now second hand prices of R's have dropped so low ( with £2500 off the new price second hand values seem to have dropped nearly £2k too ) that it won't leave me enough cash to build the Cordy to the car I want :(

Looks like I'll have to stick with the Leon ( with a few mods ) and get rid of the Cordy.

So if anyone wants any parts of the Cordy let me know, or if you want the shell all stripped down ( track car maybe ) then drop me a mail :(

sorry to hear it Pete - it stinks when you get into a project only to have it fecked up by circumstances beyond your control. Hopefully when all the dealers run out of LCRs and stop giving them away every time someone walks into a showroom it might equalise the prices a little. Dealers won't want to devalue their second hand stock too much after all the new ones are gone.

FORUM TrRACK CAR!!!!!!

ICe Cavern, this is the perfect oppurtunity to make a forum track car.

You have the car or shell, surely with enough seat anoracks on here by scrounging and begging we can get enough bits together to turn it into a Club Trackday car.

I knowquite a few RS owners clubs have done this

Just a thought, seems shame to waste it, plus could be free sponsorship for you.

what say you???????????

£300 devided by 20 forum members is £15 each, plus say another few hundred and a bit of good will.

Sounds like a plan to me.

Thanks guys.

Stu that's exactly why I've canned it. I could keep it there on the front lawn rotting away while I scrounge bits but it'd never be how I want it to be without spending the money. So I'd not get the enjoyment out of it :(

pete, bummer mate. Thought you were making SO much progress!
If I was looking for an LCR, I would have snapped yours up. Kinda wish I had waited a year for my new car now - 11k would have got me a really nice R with a few extras too.
But I suppose everything depreciates, next year something better will be out etc etc.

Anway, real shame mate. Hope you get everything sorted.
