Rolling back in D, CUPRA LEON vz2 245

So my drive is on an incline and the past month this issue has happened twice. Where I park its pretty tight so sometimes have to switch between R and D to position myself properly. The issue is when I do this a couple of times and switch to D, the car starts rolling back. I've tried going neutral and back to D which didn't work and I also tried clicking the Auto Hold button which didn't even activate at all (no lights nothing, unresponsive). The only thing that fixes this is switching the engine off and on again. Has anyone experienced this issue? and what should my next steps be.

I'm worried this malfunction might happen at a steep junction/traffic light where there are cars behind me.

My Leon FR is a 2018 model, and my drive is steep, but I have never had the problem you describe.

Do you drive with Autohold switched on all the time (I do) or only switch it on when you have the problem?

Only use it when I'm on a steep incline and works 100% of the time on normal drives, just on these parking occasions does it fail to work. I feel like the car just seems to think its disconnected.

I've read the manual page 223. It states "If the vehicle still does not move in the required direction, there is a system malfunction. Seek specialist assistance and have the system checked" , I'm not sure if this is relevant to my situation as I assume I'm rolling back because of the incline but I will still seek specialist assistance.

Shouldn't make any difference but try leaving Autohold active permanently & see if it solves your problem.

I have had Autohold enable for all of the 3 years I have owned the car.
