Anyone know the procedure to reset the service indicator on mk3 cupra? Just had it serviced a months ago and can't be arsed to take it back to seat to get them to reset it!
Any help appreciated.

I think this thread will be handy for myself too, but, however, what do you mean exactly by "ignition release button?", and when you say "turn button clockwise", do you mean the trip button or tyhe ignition button?

The only button you need is the trip reset button mate.

when it says " switch on igntion realese button" its 2 different things, switch on igntion, then release button

i guess its a good sign its been serviced before it needs it.

You could go on to say anyone who see's it should service their car more.

i just did it there, it went as follows -

key in, push trip reset button, ignition on, release button. Done.

it did flash up 00000, with the first zero flashing, i thought this might be to set when it comes back on?

Well, I've just reset my service indicator, or so I thought!
It comes up 'FAIL', lol. And now I can't actually reset it, just get 'FAIL' everytime, lol.

I take it this can only be fixed with VAGcom?
It's just that I've tried piddling around with it without any luck.
