Steering wheel button illumination?

We have a 06 mk4 1.4 sport that was specced with the optional steering wheel controls. My question is should these buttons be illuminated?

They are on the 06 Toledo courtesy car we've had for the last few days!

Yes & No!

They dont on the Ibiza, but they do on every other model i've ever seen them in!

Question is - Do ours have the lights and just need wiring up?!

Good question - seems a bit daft not to add the wiring!

Exaclly, but never have on the Ibiza.

TBH, A doubt a dealer will know unless they have changed a steering wheel!?

It's a pretty difficult to see but I don't think that the buttons on the steering wheel are lit up in this pic...

And if your go here http://www.seat.com/static/su/com/SEAT/site/newibiza/en/ibiza360/interior/reference/360refinterior.mov you can see that the buttons are not lit...

Think that it would look really good if you have an incredibly steady hand and if it were to only go dark for 20 Mins every night. But that isnt going to happen.

I hope that it is a case of a wire not connected. I have got an 07MY Ibiza Stylance on its way, 2 and a Half Weeks now untill i pick it up. It is something that i have allways woundered about if they light up!
