One last thing, will the head unit work if the error codes are not cleared straight away.
I have just ordered an OBDeleven dongle but to be honest this would be my first time using OBD code readers and looking at the instructions the B201A00 error might give me problems as all that XOR stuff went straight over my head:confused:

My HU worked without clearing codes. I was able to use all functionality with no issues prior to scan / clearing with obd11.

Works fine without clearing the code.
I made a little more detailed post the other day about clearing this code.

For those who have MIB1 (5.8" screen) and MIB2 (6.5" screen) you can find the newest firmware on the spanish forum www[dot]clubseatleon[dot]net, specifically here (all credits to @miceor):

www[dot]clubseatleon[dot]net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=118140&start=600#p1928908

There you have the firmware files to update MIB1's up to 0480 and MIB2's up to 0346, the instructions to do it and the troubleshooting to clear an error code thrown away by the unit after the update.

Enjoy.
I can't resist an update.
Currently on MIB2 H24, 0245
I have the v0330 and v0346 .rar files from the Google Drive download links on the the Spanish web site.
I also managed to translate that into something useable (copy all text from the spanish post, paste into notepad, save, Google Translate, point it at the .txt file)...main bit is below.
Now waiting until I have the balls to do this.

One question; can I upgrade 0245 -> 0330 then immediately 0330 -> 0346 and deal with any error codes once on 0346, or should I do an OBDeleven scan and clear in between and after?

Upgrade Method MIB2 6.5 "
CHECKED AND WITH SOLUTION TO ERRORS SUBMITTED
As already explained, to update the MIB2 from the 0245 to the 0346 it is necessary to update previously to the 0330.
Therefore, first perform the 0330 following all the steps described below and then the 0346 and again the same steps and avoid unpleasant surprises.
1) Use an SD of at least 8GB and can be Class 10 (It is much faster)
2) Format the SD card in FAT32
3) Copy the data to the SD card (All folders and TXT file must be in the root of the card)
4) Insert the SD card into the SD1 Housing of the glove box player.
5) To put the contact of the car (Do not start the engine in any way nor turn off the Infotainment)
6) Press the Infotainment Menu button and keep pressing until the service menu exits.
7) Select SW Update and click on Update.
8) Wait for the system to give us a Update Update message and confirm.
9) We connect the diagnosis device (Vagcom, OBDeleven, etc.) and perform a Scan.
10) Erase all faults.

I did mine this morning, and for peace of mind I cleared faults and set the hex value in obdeleven for each upgrade.

Each upgrade takes about 20 minutes to apply from sdcard so I did one on the drive to work and one on the way home :)

The software on my MIB2 is 0359. Does that mean I can't have an update? I love an update!

I have just performed the 0480 update on my mib1 HU, it took about 50mins from a sandisk class 10 SD card, I haven't cleared the error codes as I am still waiting for my OBDeleven. All seems fine and working well:D

Quick question, is there a way of setting a destination on the sat nav by postcode rather than address, sorry if it's an obvious one I have only had the car a few days.
Thanks

Select "Town", then in the bottom left you'll see a button labelled "Ptcd"

Ahaa, thanks lads there it is . Strange that it's hidden down there, you would think it would be the first option after selecting new destination.

W00t, is there a 0359?! Is that for the H24? Can you post a picture, then I can take that to my Stealer. They claim there is no (official) update from my (previous) 0330. I installed the 0346 ugly-patch and it works pretty ok but not perfect - and it gives a constant error code saying that the Infotainment system version could not be verified or something similar (read out with OBD11).

Anybody got the 2016/2017 update for MIB1 known as 0059?

When I removed it off my SD Card and stored it "safely" turns out Mac OS actually uploaded it to the cloud but forgot to upload 100% of the files.

Is that the error code that looks like it can be sorted using hex XOR as in niallain's post higher up?

That looks to be an H30, so a newer hardware version. Software v0346 is for the H24, which I have on a Leon with a manufacture date of January 2016.
