Toldedo key fob prob

Hello there.

I have bought a new IR mirroe for my toledo sxe MK1 model.
I swap the old with the new one, but i tried to program the key to lock the doors but nothing happened.

Can you provide me of any instruction of how to do it?

Everything works fine with the locks etc, so it is not problem of a fuse etc.

Its a fault of the mirror.

Hi dude, I just got a 2.0 16V, all I have is one key and one touch key, I did notice the IR receiver in the rear view mirror, where did you buy the IR remote from as I need one too

And to second xenophon74, how would one program this new IR remote and possibly a new touch key?

Hi there

I bought the mirror from ebay.

I tiried to program according to the instructions that i found in this forum.

to program / reprogram

1 ignition on to red lights on dash
2 turn off immediately and pull key out
3 HOLD 1 of the buttons down (dont matter which)
4 PRESS the other 3 times ( with a SLIGHT pause) 1 . 2 . 3
5 watch led on key (should flash) and doors usually try lock/unlock
6 turn ignition key back on to red lights and wait 5 sec
7 key out again and test operation


But with no success.I changed the battereis in the key fob, nothig worked as well. Check the fuse, the fuse is OK.

Any idea what might be the problem?
