Same as you HC VARIANT set to 5. But it is so glitchy that on 200 km highway trip it appeared only about 3 times for a few seconds..

can you tell me what coding you did so you can compare it with mine?

I cant say from top of my head right now but there was also this:
in "Frt Sens. Drv. Assist" module:
HC_point_of_intervention from late to early_setting_over_menu
Emergency_assist_variante from Not coded to variante 4

I dont even have those adaptations/coding in my units. Do you? (09: 5WA 937 086 AE 0175, 44: 5WA 907 145 1040)

Hello @Pepcox,

I wasn't able to code the Module 09(same software version as you), because I did NOT find the adaption channel.

But, I managed to set QFK function in Module 44(5R3907146A 2040).

Even so, I can't test the new function because my car(SK Octavia NX) is missing the Side Assit/RTA option. I need a retrofit first.

I see. I can't test it neither 'cause I don't have "D" software in the camera unit. Does anybody know if there is an "official way" to make it upgraded? I don't want to break the warranty by upgrading it by myself.

When I was asking dealer if they could update it they said that for my vehicle wasn't released an update yet so no. Probably because it was sold without Travel assist function.

tell me what you want me to provide to understand if mine has everything you need, it certainly doesn't have Unit A5 with letter D since mine has the letter C

It' somehow tricky to activate this function without invalidating the warranty for the A5 module.

Does it require update only of 5WA 980 653 D or any other unit in order to make it work? I do have a same case in my car as mentioned above. The line change option is disabled but Im able to randomly see the option to change the lines on my screen It doesn't really works, looks glitchy and it is interrupted every time when it try to perform the manoeuvre. But it is interested that it sometimes appears even with the old C FW in the unit..

did you just update A5 to version "D" and carry out the encoding?

I activated this feature on the Golf 8 2021 model year. Requirements: Side Assist, Park Pilot, Travel Assist. You need to update the assistant camera to version "D" and firmware no lower than 3403 + a new set of data.

mine is a Formentor my22 equipped with all the adas but does not have lane change since the a5 module is the one in the photo above with a C ending; Could you tell me exactly what I should do to get the lane change?

You need to upgrade the A5 module to version 3403 and upload a new data set. You can try to get in touch with "0lacetti" since he managed to activate this new functionality on Golf Mk8.
