upgrading tdi injectors

its probably been asked before but ......

see the way the 130/150 and 160 injectors are the same!

im at the point where i may need bigger injectors!

what do i get to replace them, so is there nozzle attachments for them !

ive been on the TDI club fourmn a few times but cant find really what im looking for!

any serious / non piss taking answers please! im getting a hybrid turbo soon and want to see is it worth changing the injectors! cause i honestly dont think i do need to

alot of ppl are getting 250ish+ bhp on standard injectors with hybrids and FMIC's theses days in there 130 pds

Quick answer, no you dont.

If you want a longer one, tell us more about what turbo you are getting, who is mapping it, and what supporting mods you have and will have, and then im sure inturn we will take the time to tell you if you need uprated injectors :)

she is 148.9 bhp standard with 249.3 ib/ft
and is 197.3 bhp mapped with 315.9 ib/ft

Not sure what half the mods you listed have to do with engine performance but hey ;)

Right basically, the short answer now is YES you need new injectors.

Not because you actually do, but because you are running Custom-Code via JBS, and James still quotes he cant get 200bhp+ from standard injectors, which is a shame as everyone else seems to now? But hey, I dont think REVO have either yet, which might explain why Custom-Code hasnt ;)

Do the smart move, if you have a TD2 atm, contact a decent mapper in your area (I can find a e-mail address for a very good mapper that is in Ireland just PM me) and go from there, or keep with C-C and get uprated injectors for no good reason :D
 
i copied and pasted the list from my list on mircosoft word doc. i have! all mods engine and none engine related!

as for the turbo, the 150 is getting hybrided in the coming months! getting the TD stage 2 carried out to it!
ive asked a few local mappers in NI! all of which are highly respected, they all have graneteed me 240-250 on standard injectors with a hybrid 130-150 turbo (vnt) (either one hybrided would do!)
FMIC and a miltech exhaust system with egr blocked or bypassed!

Would say guarantee is a strong word, normally 220-230bhp is a safer option with a Forge FMIC

2 members on here (well 1 as the other in now banned) are both running stage 2 hybrid with about 230bhp and 380~390lb/ft

I believe the turbo is rated to 260bhp, however on a standard cam and or without W.I or similar you'd be hard pushed to get that figure

Id rather have 220-230bhp and it be a nice smooth delivery, than hit peak bhp then drop harsh for it.

Each to their own
 
yes i understand what u mean! ive noticed this myself with differently mapped 130 ibiza's having all the power come on with max torque as soon as possible then resulting in the power and torque fall to not the most they could be!

i guess its depends on the map! a progressive map would be nice!

alot of torque kick in at 1900 rpm but not full torque! horsepower around 120ish at that stage!

then around 2800 the torque after dipping down a small bit climbs back up to its peak! with horsewpower still gaining!

then about 3500 the torque slowly starting to drop down very slowly with the horsepower almost at its peak!

then 4100 torque is falling to about half its peak power with horsepower at its absolute peak!
TIME TO CHANGE GEAR ;)

ive seen this setup on a few maps and dyno print outs! still enjoy see how peak points kick in!

I'm another Ballymena man! I drive a red Ibiza Sport, WKZ 9-something, I just got it I can't remember the plate lmao! Must say your car looks well.

If you uprate the injectors does it not make it a c*nt to start on cold mornings ? Awesome GTI told me that.....
Personaly i wouldn't bother, but dont hope for 250 ...... proberly around 230 somewhere, it's not all about the biggest bhp with diesels either, a nice smooth map is at 230 is just as good as a 250 map !

You didn't happen to buy that Ibiza of a guy in lisburn by any chance did you?
