Weird knocking/vibration 05 Cupra TDI

As the title says my Cupra has developed a very wierd knocking noise, its not overly loud but it is rather annoying. It was ok on my way to work Monday morning then on way home it was there. The thing that puzzles me is if you roll down the window it doesnt appear to be heard outisde the car, just inside. The car still drives and handles fine and the engine sounds ok. It almost sounds like something is rubbing underneath the car, it gets a bit more noticable if you are on bumpy roads. Anyone else had anything like this in the past or any suggetions would be appreciated.

I found mine was when i lowered the car, Couldnt hear with the window down but it was coming from the back, turned out it was the exhaust!, a new tougher mount has seemed to of sorted it.

Ok, i did think exhuast but wasnt sure, the noise does seem to come from the back and going over bumps making it louder could suggest its moving around of a mount, ill get it on the ramps and have a look for that, thanks for you help!!
