CUPRA takes Tavascan to the next level with new powertrains, trims, tech and pricing

CUPRA expands the Tavascan range for 2026 with a new 58kWh battery, Origin trim from £39,995, extra technology and lower pricing on selected models.

CUPRA has expanded the Tavascan line-up for 2026, introducing a new entry-level trim, a smaller 58kWh battery option, additional technology and revised pricing across parts of the range.

The changes broaden the Tavascan line-up to five trim levels and three powertrain options, with prices now starting from £39,995 OTR.

New Origin trim starts from £39,995

The biggest change is the arrival of a new entry-level Origin trim, bringing the Tavascan’s starting price down to £39,995.

Standard equipment includes:

  • 19-inch VULCANO alloy wheels
  • Heated front seats
  • 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit
  • 15-inch central infotainment display

The full trim line-up now consists of Origin, V1, V2, VZ and VZ Extreme.

New 58kWh 190PS powertrain

CUPRA is also adding a new 58kWh battery option producing 190PS.

It will be available on Origin, V1 and V2 models and sits alongside the existing 77kWh battery versions with 286PS and 340PS outputs.

That gives buyers a wider choice depending on whether they prioritise price, range, equipment or outright performance.

More technology across the range

The updated Tavascan also gains several new technology features depending on trim level.

Mobile Device Key and Vehicle-to-Load capability are available from V1, while V2 models and above gain Sennheiser Contrabass technology.

The VZ also adds Launch Control.

Across the line-up, the Tavascan continues with its 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit, Android-powered infotainment system and intelligent climate control, with specifications varying depending on trim.

Selected models get price reductions

CUPRA has also reduced the price of selected Tavascan versions, with some reductions applying from 1 July.

The Tavascan V1 with the 77kWh 286PS powertrain is now priced at £45,750 OTR, a reduction of £1,600.

The VZ drops by £1,060 to £54,930, while the VZ Extreme is reduced by £1,005 to £59,830.

A broader Tavascan range for 2026

The changes give CUPRA a much wider spread of Tavascan models, particularly at the lower end of the range, where the new 58kWh battery and Origin trim should make the electric SUV coupe more accessible to buyers.

At the same time, higher-spec versions continue to offer the stronger performance and technology that have helped define the Tavascan since launch.

With revised pricing, more trims and an additional battery option, the 2026 range gives buyers considerably more choice than before.
