CUPRA is expanding its partnership with Sennheiser, bringing a new generation of immersive audio technology to more models across the range.
The latest development was showcased in the CUPRA Tavascan Black Edition at the Paris Motor Show, where CUPRA introduced the new SENNHEISER AMBEO Immersive Sound System.
The system adds four roofline actuators to create a dedicated height layer, giving the cabin a more enveloping 360-degree sound experience.
A more immersive system for Tavascan
The new setup builds on the existing relationship between CUPRA and Sennheiser, which began in 2022 with the introduction of Sennheiser audio technology in the Tavascan.
Rather than simply adding more speakers, the updated system is designed to make sound feel as though it is coming from around and above the occupants, creating a stronger sense of depth and space inside the cabin.
The Tavascan Black Edition is the first model being used to showcase the latest system.
Coming to Formentor and Terramar
CUPRA has also confirmed that the updated Formentor and Terramar will feature the SENNHEISER AMBEO Immersive Sound System with the four additional roof actuators.
That means the technology will not remain exclusive to CUPRA’s electric models, with the system being extended across a broader part of the range.
The Leon and Leon Sportstourer will continue with IMMERSIVE BY SENNHEISER.
CUPRA and Sennheiser partnership continues to grow
What started as a technology collaboration has now developed into a wider partnership across the CUPRA line-up.
CUPRA says the aim is to make sound a more important part of the overall driving experience, rather than treating the audio system as simply another piece of equipment.
With the addition of roof-mounted actuators and a more immersive sound field, the latest system represents the next step in that approach and will gradually become available across several of CUPRA’s key models.
