Whys this kit on a UK owned car?

leon

there's a good story behind it.. but basically that was the car used for Type Approval.

Can't help but think Seat are one of the worse ''parts'' car companys around. Even Alfa have now launched a quality accessories site for their 159. I don't think anyone wants big spoilers or 24 inch exhaust but things like the splitter on that Cupra would go down a bomb.

Car companys really do need to look at the bigger picture. By looking at the profits Halfrauds are making through their ''modding'' range, tacky as it is, but it shows people want the chance to do little extras to their cars.

Seat being a sporty brand i would have thought VW group would have given them free reign to do what they can to boost profits.

You make it sound like they had a choice in the matter

however, it does show they're looking at stuff like this

Just that you'll have to wait for something that is suitably good quality, and safe if you want it from SEAT

But with the launch of the FR and especially the Cupra there should of been a range of extras to distinguish (sp) the Cupra at least.

This may be the second body kit that has been mentioned previously that is wilder than the K1 with the Aero kit. Therefore, it is perhaps not yet due for release?

Would be intereting to find the company that made the kit as they may produce it if demand was high enough, regardless of it being backed by SEAT.

In time i'm sure this kit will be available

A quick look at SEAT's website shows this for the Cupra....

The manufacturer of the kit are not gonna burn there bridges with SEAT untill Seat decide yay or nay for uk release , even then if it's EU only the manufacurer are not gonna sell it too a third party, as Seat will be pi$$ed off!

The only way, will be to get it from a EU Seat dealer , or if Seat decide thay don't want the kit full stop then the market will be open for the manucaturer to sell the kit!

True, keep an eye on places like SEAT FACTORY on ebay. I'm sure it won't be long..........

i emailed seatuk from our dealership. sorry to say no-one knows and no-one really seems to care. so much for dealer support!!!!!!! i will keep asking, area managers must be there for something....... if i find anything out i will post it asap

I'll have the splitter, not sure about the rest yet.....

see they have another White/Black wheeled cupra on test in PERFORMANCE CAR, no K1 kit this time

You're ? Why is this thread called "K1 Splitter - Performance VW"? The K1 has the Aero kit, central exhaust, etc. and was launched for the '08 plate. The car in the pictures is nothing like a K1. Well it is a Seat Leon Cupra, but you know what I mean.

Keep your eyes peeled on the non uk forums peeps, hopefully they'll spring up somewhere at some point. If not I'll make some myself. Now where's that washing up bottle and egg box.....

let the hunt begin, im sure if some one posts on leon2passion site (the french one) then some one will get on the case quicker than we can in the uk...

if only seat boss's could see this forum, no more areo kit variations lol and more cool things like these subtle splitters !
