the word "cheap" was not used as a monetry aspect it was as the look/ the kit look like someones kid has made it out of mcdonald burger boxes

 previous comment whatever! 8 pages of thread trying too find a cheap cr*ppy piece of plastic that will spoil you cars looks imoa WHY?

Its only black until you paint it, as someone else has said, its the search for something other than the rounded aero kit, something aggressive in style with the Cupra. Thats the general feel I get anyway, no disrespect to those of you who appreciate the aero kit, but its just not what members of this thread are looking for.

surely painting it is the last thing you want to do as it will chip badly had i cupra r splitter once lasted a short while got trashed

If it is an MS Design kit then the quality should be superb. They make some good kits. I tend to think the front and rear splitter would be my choice to buy, but we will have to see. No denying the aero kit seems well made but whoever voted to have faux plastic vents instead of mesh needs shooting

I know what you mean, but if the item is painted properly with plasticoat paint, it will chip no worse than your bumpers, I also had the 'R' previously & would never have painted the splitter as it was too low always getting caught trying to get down car park ramps etc, liked the low look, but was really impractical as it limited where I could go, the front of the Cupra is designed so the front tapers up, so a splitter would not create the same issues associated with the 'R' I hope

No it wouldn't as it follows the line of the bumper perfectly.

well im loving the splitter but ive had a great idea to make it individual if i can get my hands on one ;)

let me know if you guys have any joy with ms design ill be making some enquiries myself

Put it on upside down?

Colour code the side bits of the splitter leave the middle black?

Spray it pink?

I would not paint the splitter if I added it to my car. The bottom of the front bumper is black, and this would tie in really well, following the lines of the bumper, and giving a lower, more aggressive stance.

Defo not "cheap" with regard to appearance.

This has just brough a point of debate to my attention, depending on whether an FR or Cupra owner, the Cupra has an extended black section above the front airdam and th lower ectionis black so giving the effect of a deeper, more agressive airdam, the splitter in black may suite this well, but maybe not so much on the FR which may suite it better body colour, saying that, I would like to see it on the cupra withe the sides coloured and the bottom bit below the airdam left black, thiss would be the dogs :censored:

Would need to see pics. I would just leave it black all the way across i think, but i could be persuaded otherwise depending on how well someone could photochop it, and on how good a paint job you could get on it. Then again, i love it on that press car above, so mine would be the same.

I think i'd just leave it black to add the contrast, painting it will just blend it into the body colour , it wont be as striking!

This is what Seat should do 6 months prior to a launch of any major model. Will they learn, I doubt it

Nah - they wont learn - they will just see how the Aero kit looks on a new major model
