newbie from scotland

hey folks

new here although i dont own a seat, i currently own a mk2 golf with seat 1.8 20vt fitted just thought id better introduce myself as theres nothing worse than people who join forums just to use the for sale/ wanted section

seen some nice cars around the site already but think i need to make some time to get a proper look around

would post pics of mine but rules say i cant

I like mk2's and with a 20vt they are great! Have you tuned it much mate? Ther was a nice navy blue one used to kick about down here that was ihi'd.

i know the one u mean, think the guy sold it, then bought it back after like 6 months or something

mines is sitting around the 200bhp mark so nothing amazing but its my daily driver, and to be honest ive been spending my time sorting out other bits on it. its fast enough for a bit of fun as it is and theres plenty to do before i give it more power

when i bought it the engine had been fitted already and it had been on the road for like 2 months. but it had alot of little niggles that needed sorted out (bulbs in dash/ speedo not working and such like)

then i managed to get my hands on a edition 1 g60 electric recaro interior from my mates edition 1 although his now has R32 engine

then for past while ive been spending cash trying to tidy the engine up a bit, its deffo not a show car so nothing amazing to look at under the bonnet but i just wanted it to look tidy and looked after,

like most ive got loads of ideas what i want to do but no cash to make it happen

Naw mate i've not been to any vag ones, used to go to a meet down the south inch car park when I was younger when I had my mk 1, not sure who organised it though. Would be up for meets though!!
