Hi, I need the number for part 1 please and then confirm the part number for the leather versions of the panels that run alongside it from the VZ3.

First a quick reply:

Part numbers given in that post have an extra initial V letter which is incorrect. The rest is correct though, but only for left hand drive cars. Original poster is in Netherlands so that's OK for them. You're in UK, your car obviously needs the parts for right hand drive. One might think what difference there could be in two simple left and right side parts but when parts catalog lists separate parts for LHD & RHD, they probably have different fitting positions etc.

Anyway, now going to get the exact part numbers. 👋🏻

Back on topic; Chrome/silver vs Copper?

Instinct says Copper as its the CUPRA colour but, depending on body colour, the chrome/silver will look better.

In essence; dark body go Copper, light body go chrome/silver.

That said, my preference is Graphite regardless of body colour.

The copper definitely doesn’t stand out on certain colours and my desire red is one of them. It is a lovely colour though

I think that’s part 7? Difficult to read

Yes, it is 7.

There are three variants of the part, each one has two colors, one for the leather itself, the other is for stitching.

5FC863488AWXY right rhd Soul/brown
5FC863488AIVG right rhd Black/Carmine Red
5FC863488AFIX right rhd steel grey

5FC863487AWXY left rhd Soul/brown
5FC863487AIVG left rhd Black/brown
5FC863487AFIX left rhd Steel grey

The last three letters denote the color variant: WXY is soul/brown, FIX is steel grey, but it is not clear whether IVG is black/carmine red or black/brown. The parts catalog may have an error here. I looked for the photos of the part with those numbers, as you'll see in the photos below I did manage to find some but that didn't clear the case for IVG. Not sure which pair (left+right) you'll be ordering but proceed with a replacement guarantee, just in case if you receive the wrong color variant.

I'll also get the part number of the console, but send me your VIN via PM first because it has a lot of variants too.

I didn’t realise there were so many colour options! My interior is grey. When you say PM, I assume you mean private message so as not to post my VIN? Will that be ok with the site owners? I don’t wish to break any rules as I really appreciate being a member.

Yes, I meant private message. I don't see any problem with that and we did so with a lot of members that I helped with part numbers.

That would be great and appreciated. How do I reply though? If I reply to my gmail notification, does it not just reply to seatcupra.net?

I'm sending a PM to you, there will a be red bell icon on your PM box (upper right of the page) to notify you that there's an incoming message. Click on PM box, you'll see my message and you can reply to it.

When I try to reply it still wants to send to seatcupra.net unfortunately. Apologies for lack of technical ability!

No worries.

As you can see in the screenshot below, there's an envelope icon at the upper right on the page.
When you click on that, you'll see the existing conversations, you can click on any one of them and proceed to reply
or you can click "start a new conversation", write my nickname, a subject and your message, then send it.
This is the desktop interface though, if you're using mobile interface on your phone, that is another story :)

Hi,

I looked at the part numbers for center console trim.

Normally the parts catalog application should have highlighted the exact part in a list of variants for that part (when VIN was entered of course).

But for your VIN & the center console trim, it didn't do that and none of the existing variants seemed to match your car's PR codes.

Your car is right hand drive (L0R), has mobile telephone interface (9ZX), the transmission is 7sp auto (G1C), no gearshift handle (6Q0) and build date is 09.23. There are two variants that match these PR codes as you can see in the screenshot below, but their equipment level PR codes don't match as they are listed for A8H-A8M-A8T but yours is A8I (Sports equipment). I believe that's why the catalog app can't highlight one of those, and also I think that the PR code data in one of those variants is incorrect, at least one of them should have been listed for A8I. (Errors in parts catalog are not uncommon)

My best guess is that your part is either 5FC863263KZSV or 5FC863263AKZSV.

Maybe @LeylandVCDS can help us with this, he has access to ETKA and it would probably show the exact part directly, assuming it has the correct data.
When he responds, I can send your VIN to him, if that's OK for you @Railwayman , and he can share his findings with us in this thread.

Hi Guy, we have to agree with you there. The alloys can bring a car's look all together - it's good to consider body colour when picking between chrome and copper!

Now when you add graphite alloys into the mix, the choice becomes even harder!🤣
