The providers ("we", "us", "our") of the service provided by this website ("Service") are not responsible for any user-generated content and accounts. Content submitted express the views of their author only.

This Service is only available to users who are at least 13 years old. If you are younger than this, please do not register for this Service. If you register for this Service, you represent that you are this age or older.

All content you submit, upload, or otherwise make available to the Service ("Content") may be reviewed by staff members. All Content you submit or upload may be sent to third-party verification services (including, but not limited to, spam prevention services). We reserve the right to provide information linked to your account to law enforcement agencies, in the event of legal action arising from any activity you have undertaken on this site.

These terms may be changed at any time without notice.

Forum rules

Inappropriate content (applies to the public forums and private conversations function)

• Offensive usernames, profile pictures, cover photos, and signatures will not be tolerated.
• Content that upsets others, is offensive, threatening, or bullying will not be tolerated.
• Do not openly share your personal information on public forums, and do not share details of others in private conversations.
• Do not post content that could be deemed as libellous or defamatory about an individual, company or organisation.
• Do not try to bypass the software's swear filter.
• Do not link to external websites or sources that are likely to offend, including pornography, violent, racist or sexist material, and anything that would be deemed unlawful.
• Discussion of racing on the public highway or any other illegal activity will not be tolerated.
• Do not post links, gifs or images which contain violent, racist or sexist material or material which could be seen as offensive or unlawful in any way.
• Posting any images, gifs, or images of pornographic material will result in an instant ban.
• Do not post copyrighted material from other sites or sources.
• Personal advertising of your business or promotion of a company you work for is not permitted, including on your cover photo, in your forum name, in your signature, or in any of your posts. If you would like to advertise (and support the forums at the same time), please email [email protected]
• Do not attempt to sell cars or parts outside of the for sale or wanted section (please see the full rules on selling and buying items below)
• Do not post "thinking of selling" or "what's it worth" threads to bypass the formal selling and wanted process and rules.
• Do not post the same thing in multiple forums. If you don't think there is a forum that fits or is relevant to multiple users, contact one of the team for advice
• Group buys need to be approved before publication. Contact one of the team.

Copyrighted manuals, maps & software

To protect SEATCUPRA.NET and respect the rights of SEAT, CUPRA, Volkswagen Group and other rights holders, the following rules apply:

• Official links only: You may only link to manuals, owner handbooks, technical documents or map updates when they are published openly and officially on CUPRA, SEAT or Volkswagen Group websites.
• No re-hosting: Do not upload, attach, embed, mirror or re-host manufacturer manuals, workshop documents, technical PDFs, map files, firmware or software on SEATCUPRA.NET.
• No third-party manual sites: Links to manual aggregator websites, file-sharing platforms or unofficial repositories are not permitted, even if the content appears freely accessible.
• Navigation maps: Links to official manufacturer map update pages are allowed. Unofficial mirrors, modified map files, patched installers, unlock tools or activation workarounds are prohibited.
• Software & firmware: Uploading or linking to firmware, software packages, cracked diagnostic tools, licence keys or activation tools is prohibited. Discussion of updates is permitted, but files must not be shared.
• User-created guides: Original member-written guides, walkthroughs and photos are encouraged, provided they do not reproduce substantial copyrighted material.

SEATCUPRA.NET operates on a report-and-remove basis. Content may be removed at our discretion. Repeated breaches may result in account sanctions.

For sale and wanted rules

Eligibility to advertise

Only personally owned cars and parts can be sold on the site. No commercial posting allowed except for our sponsors, who have their own section on the site. Other items are not permitted to be sold.

To be able to post in the for sale and wanted section, members need to be an "Active member". This is to protect our community from spammers and the site from people who just want to use our free service to sell a car and not contribute.

Active members must meet the following criteria:

• They have posted at least five messages (of value to the community - spamming the threads to get post count up will be frowned upon by the moderators)
• They have received at least two likes from other members (showing they have contributed to the community)
• They have been registered for at least 14 days

Adverts must contain the following

• A clear title describing the car or part for sale
• A clear price, or at worst, "offers around"
• A description
• How best to contact the seller
• Images (if available)

Adverts must not contain any of the following

• No stolen cars or parts
• No damaged or fake parts are likely to cause injury
• No links to other sites where you are also advertising, this includes eBay, PistonHeads, Autotrader, etc.

For sale and wanted code of conduct for buyers and sellers

Placing an advert on this site means you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

1. You are the legal owner of the item offered - i.e. items posted on behalf of someone else will be deleted.
2. All adverts are provided as-is and are placed entirely at the poster's risk. We cannot be held liable in the event of a claim arising from a dispute over an item listed on this site. Where possible, we can help contact the buyer/seller if a problem occurs, and we ask that you report any for-sale or wanted issues; contact one of the team instead of posting the problem on the forums for mass speculation.
3. Buyer Beware!! SEATCupra.net does not in way warrant or guarantee the For Sale and Wanted section of the forum. Any monetary loss is at the risk of the buyer and seller.
4. Any adverts placed outside of the For Sale and Wanted section should be reported to a moderator and should be ignored, as they could be a scam if they are avoiding following our rules.
5. It is the seller's duty to accurately describe the item(s) for sale and set a clear price in accordance with the rules. Any extra charges, such as delivery charges, must be agreed with the buyer.
6. No reposting of adverts by deleting the thread and creating a new one. It is ok to "bump" the thread no more than once a month.
7. No duplicate posts/adverts. You can have one thread with multiple items individually priced, or multiple threads for each item. Not both at the same time, with items listed in both threads.
8. If you agree on price and delivery charges, you cannot go back on it. (once the deal has been settled)
9. Payment is the responsibility of the buyer and seller to negotiate, and any payment should be made promptly.
10. The seller must post or dispatch by courier/mail, the item in a reasonable period. It is also good practice to inform the buyer when the item has been despatched. If the item is worth a considerable amount, recorded/special delivery or postal insurance should be considered.
11. Buyers should allow a reasonable amount of time for items to arrive if they have been dispatched, and upon arrival, the item should be checked immediately.
12. Any seller or buyer that fails to meet their obligation on any For Sale agreement will be barred from using the for-sale and wanted section, or even removed from the forum entirely. Note that in the case of theft or fraud, all information regarding logs, IP addresses, email information will be passed to the relevant authorities upon request.
13. Once an item has sold, we would be grateful if you closed / deleted your thread contact one of the team if you need help
14. All the for-sale and wanted threads have a 60-day limit, whereupon your advert will be removed. You are welcome to repost the advert after this.

Donations

SEATCUPRA.NET has always been free to use and always will be. We have an entirely optional donation facility available to those who wish to support us with our running costs.

• Voluntary Contributions: Donations made to SEATCUPRA.NET are entirely voluntary and are given without the expectation of receiving any goods or services in return.
• Non-Refundable: All donations to SEATCUPRA.NET are non-refundable.
• Not for Profit: SEATCUPRA.NET operates as a not-for-profit entity. Donations are used solely for the purpose of supporting and maintaining the community, covering operational costs, and enhancing the user experience.
• No Enhanced Services: Donations do not entitle the donor to any special privileges, enhanced services, or influence over the community's operations.
• Tax Deductibility: SEATCUPRA.NET is not a registered charity. As such, donations made to SEATCUPRA.NET may not be tax-deductible. Donors are encouraged to consult with their tax adviser regarding the potential tax implications of their donation.
• Amendments: SEATCUPRA.NET reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and continued donations signify acceptance of any amended terms.

Breaches of these rules

We have these rules to make sure the site remains the number 1 community for SEAT and CUPRA owners as a friendly and trustworthy place to share our passion for cars, get advice, share advice, and have fun.

A breach of these rules will be handled appropriately.

SEATCUPRA.NET Store – Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases made through the SEATCUPRA.NET Store (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated by SEATCUPRA.NET. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

2. Products

We sell merchandise and accessories including stickers, valve caps, and car badges designed for SEAT and CUPRA enthusiasts. All product images and descriptions are provided for illustrative purposes only. Colours and finishes may vary slightly depending on your screen or manufacturing batch.

3. Fitting and Use

Most items, such as valve caps, come with fitting and maintenance recommendations.

• You are responsible for following these instructions to avoid damage to your vehicle.
• We accept no liability for any loss, damage, or costs arising from improper installation, neglect, or failure to follow the guidance supplied.
• Our products are decorative accessories and are not official manufacturer parts.

4. Orders and Availability

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. If an item is out of stock after you place an order, we will notify you and offer a refund or replacement. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order where payment or shipping information cannot be verified.

5. Pricing and Payment

Prices are shown in GBP (£) and do not include VAT. For international orders, prices do not include import duties, taxes, or customs fees, which remain your responsibility. Payment must be received in full before items are dispatched.

6. Delivery

We deliver worldwide using Royal Mail and selected couriers.

• Estimated delivery times for the UK are up to 7 working days and up to 14 working days for international orders.
• Once dispatched, responsibility for the package passes to the delivery provider.
• We are not liable for delays caused by postal services, customs, or local import procedures.

If your order does not arrive within the expected timeframe, please contact us within 30 days of dispatch so we can investigate.

7. Missing or Damaged Items

If an item is missing, damaged, or incorrect on arrival:

• Notify us within 7 days of receipt, providing photos where possible.
• We may offer a replacement, partial refund, or full refund depending on the situation.

We cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged after the postal carrier has confirmed delivery.

8. Returns and Refunds

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt. To exercise this right:

• Contact us via our website or email before returning the item.
• Items must be returned unused, in original packaging, and at your own cost (unless defective).

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method, typically within 7 days of receiving the returned goods.

Customised or personalised items are non-returnable unless faulty.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use or misuse of our products.
• We do not accept responsibility for damage to vehicle parts (e.g. wheels, valves, paintwork) resulting from incorrect fitting or failure to follow maintenance recommendations.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the price paid for the product in question.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for any rights you have under UK consumer law.

10. Customs and International Orders

International customers are responsible for ensuring products can be legally imported into their country. Customs delays are beyond our control. You are responsible for any duties, taxes, or handling fees charged by local authorities.

11. Intellectual Property

All logos, product designs, and content on SEATCUPRA.NET are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without permission. SEATCUPRA.NET is an independent community and is not affiliated with SEAT S.A., CUPRA, or Volkswagen Group.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

CUPRA & SEAT Dealer Directory and Reviews – Guidance & Rules

1. Purpose of the Section

• This section is provided for members to find local CUPRA and SEAT dealers and share constructive feedback about the service received.
• Reviews should be based on factual personal experiences and presented in a balanced and respectful way.
• Dealers can respond and engage with customers as well as keep their dealership information up-to-date.

2. User Responsibilities

• Personal opinions only. Reviews express the author’s views and not those of SEATCupra.net, its staff or the dealers. Members are solely responsible for the content of their posts.
• Constructive and factual. Posts must be built on facts rather than assumptions or hearsay. Exaggerated claims, personal attacks or rants will be removed.
• No defamatory or unlawful content. Do not submit or link to material that is defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, spam-like, likely to offend, or that violates any laws. Libellous statements about individuals, companies or organisations are strictly prohibited.
• Respect privacy. Do not share personal information about staff or other individuals.
• One account per person. To preserve trust and authenticity, posting reviews from multiple accounts is strictly prohibited.
• No incentivised reviews. Posting a review in exchange for discounts, gifts or payment is not allowed.

3. Dealer Participation

• Right of reply. Dealers may operate a verified account to respond to reviews. Replies should address specific concerns, thank reviewers for their positive feedback, or clarify any misunderstandings professionally. How to claim ownership of a dealership listing.
• No self-promotion. Dealer accounts may not solicit business or promote offers. Advertising or promotion is only permitted for official site sponsors. Dealers wishing to promote their services must arrange sponsorship with the site administrators.
• Respectful communication. Dealers must adhere to the same conduct rules as members: no abusive or defamatory language, and no sharing of private information.

4. Moderation and Removal

• Editorial rights. Staff may review, edit or remove any content at their discretion. Posts that are challenged as untrue or damaging will be removed upon request.
• Complaint procedure. If a review is believed to be false or harmful, dealers or members should contact a moderator or the forum owners for review. Rebuttals must still abide by the forum rules.
• Repeat offenders. Users who repeatedly violate these terms may have their accounts suspended or their access to the section revoked.

5. Disclaimer

• SEATCupra.net is a volunteer-run fan site, not a customer service watchdog. For ongoing disputes or formal complaints, members should contact the dealer principal directly.
• SEATCupra.net assumes no responsibility for user-generated content and cannot verify the accuracy of every dealership listing or review on SEATCupra.net. Posting a review constitutes acceptance of these rules and the forum’s full terms of use.
