Having owned the car for a week I drove it 60+ miles to the coast today. Flabbergasted and delighted...

The official Cupra figures are 30-32mpg.

I am too with my 2.0L petrol 190. Having come from a series of diesels over the last 30 years, the last 2 being BMW 2.0L coupes, which were returning 47mpg on my usual mix of driving, I was expecting the worst from a 2.0L petrol. But mine returns high 30's / low 40's most of the time, even including short trips. On a run I'm getting high 40's. So it is about 5-10 mpg down on my last BMW diesel, which is pretty good for a 4WD, heavy, petrol SUV.
