So I have Just bought my first Seat Leon 1.4 tsi fr sport coupe 2014. To be honest it was a panic buy as my Honda needed 1.2k of work to get it through it's Mot and I had 7 days to find a car.

So I like the look of the car but it's had a new exhaust fitted and a cone filter intercooler. I am not a boy racer so would like to get rid of that growl. What's the best way?

Oh and I can't lock the bloody thing with the key fob or emergency lock! I will make a seperate post in that one.

If you’ve bought one that’s been treated to a “Halfords special” by its previous boy racer owner, your only option will be to replace the cone filter with the original airbox, and see if your local exhaust place can take a look (depends on what’s been done to it - might need a backbox, might need a muffler putting back). They should be able to advise

But if you bought this car to avoid a £1.2k bill, I’m sorry to say you’ve probably not saved yourself much money by the time you’ve un-barry’d it and fixed the keys
