Replacing bulb headlights with LED

Hello all,

Just wanting to know if anyone who has an Ibiza with old style bulb headlights swapped them out for LED?

My son bought one in the summer and although its a nice car its at bottom end of the range and he is really noticing the headlights being a bit weak now its hitting dark nights.

So I'm thinking of buying him some, whether that be second hand OEM or aftermarket jobs.

Anyone done this, is it plug and play or are there issues like different connector, it throws up faults on computer etc.

Any help gratefully received.

No, it isn't plug and play.

Potentially BCM (depending on which headlights you install and the age of the car)
Level sensor
Range control module
Wiring
Software changes
Headlights with headlight control modules & DRL modules

If you're considering replacing the Halogen bulbs with LED bulbs then just be aware this is now illegal & an MOT failure & god forbid if he was involved in an accident where the headlights were a contributing factor then his insurance would be void as it's an illegal modification
