car alarm while charging

since going to economy seven it seems that the dishwasher and washing machine sets off the car alarm (2021 leon estate),reset the car alarm and it carries on charging, i am using the supplied 13amp skt charger this must have happened other owners ? there must be a dip in voltage or waveform that disrupts the car charger !!
any fixes, you cannot otherwise see the dip.

Realistically, the granny charger is for occasional charging only and shouldn't be used as your main source of charging.

You ideally need a suitable AC wall charger.

Then if the problem persists, it's your household electrical infrastructure.

i appreciate that it is occasional, i didn't have the problem when appliances ran during the day and the charger after midnight ..never.

Can you plug the charger into a socket that is on a different circuit breaker to the kitchen, e.g. upstairs or garage. Note that if you are using a long extension on a reel it must be fully unwound for use at max current.
Can you run the dishwasher and washing machines at different times to each other?
Can you get a suppressor fitted to your consumer unit.

not on a long lead but is on the same ring so i will look at temporary connection to another cct

Without any details it sounds like the voltage is barely adequate at the car charger, you can run it on its own but any other large load will cause a voltage drop and hence the alarm.

Either the supply voltage is marginal, which you can raise as a fault with your electricity board, or your house wiring needs an electrical test to diagnose the problem. Low voltage at the appliance can be caused by very serious faults, so you should get it sorted.

Never use a 13A charger for your everyday charging - it should only be used for emergency while travelling.

Far too dangerous even charging at 2.2kWh continuously over 2 hours - the domestic wall socket is not designed for it.

Get a proper EV charging installation. Be safe.

First step would be to monitor the voltage where the charger is plugged in to see if it is going too low when one of the appliances starts a motor or heater. But I think it is more likely that there are spikes being generated which are upsetting the charger. Really the charger is not fir for purpose if this is what is happening. You would have to get a 'scope on the supply to look for spikes, or install a suppressor in your consumer unit, or on the inputs to the appliances. It would probably be easier to get a different charger. But in the mean time, do check that your plug/socket is not getting hot.
