That's the telematics connection box that needs software updating to stop the SOS issue. Going dark and fiddling with permissions were things that were suggested as fixes in the user community before Seat started to roll out the Telematic update... eg. the proper fix to the bug.

@East Yorkshire Retrofits have said about faulty telematic units which are changed by dealers. It was / is an issue across all VAG cars. VW were quicker to fix the issue but all the same issue. So I reckon from what I've read it's a hardware issue or atleast in some.

If they update the telematic firmware that seems to solve the sos issue. Mines been ok since that was done. All I have now since the ota update the infotainment system just reboots itself! If it’s not one thing!!

SE37x vehicles are pretty much good to go. SE38X requires that the vehicle has a telematics module (OCU)

Why it's suck it and see. Worked for everyone on here so far. Can you check their VIN if they gave it to you and see whether it's got it. I'd find a use for Obdeleven in anycase but I guess if people are tight with the £ / €.

Have just had two updates during service yesterday so hopefully error is fixed. Will have to see over next week or so.

There's a telematics update required to solve that issue, the infotainment update won't resolve it.

Nope… there’s a software update to the telematics module that needs doing as well in order to fix that.

Mine still has the issue and SEAT are replacing the wiring to the telematic unit (5 cables to replace) they have previously replaced the driver side speaker and replaced the SOS unit...

I will try to chat with tech if I can get past the service reception Lol. I think that is what I had as they said two updates and the car was in all day with the oil change only being done last thing before they closed so seems to be a lengthy download. Certainly fixed the mobile issue...

Your infotainment software is out of date, 1969 is the latest. It's likely your telematics module (and many others) also have updates outstanding
