Thankfully, the weather was kind today and enabled me to try out some new shiny products. I really need to get a polisher, my arms ready for dropping off!

Used a 2 bucket wash (Virosol on the wheels), a layer of Autoglym SRP, followed by Poorboys EX-P Sealant and Pinnacle Liquid Souveran wax....came up glorious, shame the pics dont do it justice!

decided to go the full monty over the weekend and give the FR a once over with my new Megs Clay kit. Must admit, it leaves the paintwork feeling silky smooth!

here are some pics taken just after washing (got carried away and forgot to take "in progress" shots);

At least i remembered to take some "after" shots, even if they do look like i've got the DT's (probably from all the "wax-on-wax-off" action)! Think i need to invest in one of those Silverlines.

as before, AG SRP followed by Poorboys Ex-P and Pinnacle Liquid Souveran, with some Autosol for the tailpipes.

if its not some vauxhall ashtray sneeking into shot, its some dodgy caravan! if the guy that owns it (he doesnt live on our street) doesnt move it soon im going to do something naughty!

Just bought some new repeaters online to replace the fried egg oem ones. They are for a mk6 fiesta, but fit a treat (think DamoR had some written about in another thread).

Anyway, the old ones just pop out with a thin screwdriver, twist the end and voila, its off. Also changed the bulbs for some silver ones. A proper 2 minute mod!

Not sure about them yet though, not keen on the clear plastic at the front....although i'll stay with them for a week or so, see if i get used to them!

wiper was a piece of cake to fit, and as you can see i managed to break the original, but you just slot it on and tighten up the nut! Can't see the fabia wiper being any harder to fit (never had one!). Think it was about £20 from vagparts including delivery.

I think they only do the sunnies holder in grey and biege, but i could be wrong! (got that from vagparts too, mk4 golf section)

Looking very good! Nice to see the various mods along the way too. I like the indicators especially, I think it looks very smart next to the red paint :)

cheers Rob :D Thought i might use this thread as sort of my mod-blog! Im not really looking to do too many exterior mods, next one will probably be a stubby ariel, and at some point (money permitting, whenever that may be) I'd like to chuck on some 18"s and some nice porsche brakes!

I have been pondering though on how the FR badge would look on the front grill. Unfortunatly, I think it might be a tad too big, shame you cant get a slightly smaller one!

anyway, thanks for the feedback so far guys...

I'm thinking of ordering an FR badge for the front grille.

Just going to order a couple and see what it looks like in various places.

Probably going to take the side ones off but think it needs some FR badges somewhere to identify it.
