So, I've been reading the posts and certain things keep popping up. I have an OBD11 on route and will make use of that, I've modded my key and have a silicone jacket on route, but...

Bonnet struts - where do you guys get them from. The sites I've found only list leons upto 2006 and not 2017 and also what else would I need for a self opening boot?

Any links to sites would be appreciated.

Chris for self opening boot you just need stronger gas struts the ones I had were

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-STABIL...582121588?clk_rvr_id=1353214843413&rmvSB=true

I bought my bonnet struts direct from the guys in Russia couple years ago now. The kit came with all the bits needed to fit them, check out this thread I think they give you details of where and what to buy http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?p=4721709&highlight=bonnet+gas+struts#post4721709

UPDATE - Here is the ebay link for the set I got https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GAS-STRU...580580?hash=item41d1ca74e4:g:aV8AAOSw1DtXFNOe

and here is link to the instructions that come with it to show how simple and easy it is to fit. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showpost.php?p=4742612&postcount=3459

+1 for the above struts, work perfectly on my 17 plate leon fr. Such an easy mod for £20-£25
