0w40

Now that I am upgrading to a leon pd170 next week I think the 4.5L of oil that I bought a while ago for the 20vt engine in the out going ibiza will be no good. Can anyone confirm that this is the case? The oil in question is mobil 1 0w-40 and on a sticker is says VW 502.00 AND 505.00...

so much confusion over the best oil to get, whats peoples opinions for a seat leon cupra r - 80k miles: Mobil1 5w-30 or 0w-40 living in the uk. as far as i can se 0w-40 definitely meets the builder approval, but so does the 5w-30.. go for the cheapest ? :)...
